It was a sad day to see our Sunday Carboot sale close after 40 years of service, but Active Streets working with Friction Arts have developed the carboot concept and re-booted it to start Birmingham Sunday Share! That’s right – it’s time to revive and renew something that has been held very dear to the heart of many in Birmingham.
What is it?
Active Streets have worked together with Friction Arts to start Birmingham’s Sunday Share in Digbeth every Sunday from 7-11am. It’s a wonderful time to meet and chat with old friends and make some new friends within the community, sharing and selling. There will also be games and activities for all the family, including music and art, tai chi and archery – something new every week!
Our old carboot was special to every individual who had the opportunity to experience it and it is important that we strive to keep working together to bring our communities closer. It was a place that showed our city’s heart and we will keep our city’s heart beating for future generation to experience and cherish as those before us have.
Why should I come?
Would you like to share and sell? Are you interested in buying something unique and beautiful? Come along with friends and family and have a wonderful time! Everyone is welcome. You can pop on over and enjoy the activities we are putting on for you.
Where should I go?
Rea Street South from 7am to 11am. Spend a refreshing morning chatting and browsing with other members of the community in the warmth of Birmingham’s Sunday Share.
We hope to see you this Sunday, the 1st of July, and every Sunday after that!
